A poll by El Financiero published this Tuesday shows Morena holding the lead in preferences for the Chihuahua governorship in 2027. Andrea Chávez emerges as the party's top contender.
The survey gives 45 percent support to Morena and 25 percent to the PAN, the party currently in power in the state. Governor María Eugenia Campos has 42 percent approval and 57 percent disapproval. In hypothetical scenarios, Andrea Chávez receives between 40 and 41 percent of preferences when facing PAN candidates. Marco Antonio Bonilla leads mentions within the PAN with 36 percent. The study also indicates that 58 percent approve of a possible political trial against the governor for alleged violation of the Constitution. Insecurity is seen as the state's main problem by 50 percent of respondents.
