President José Antonio Kast became involved in an exchange with a woman upon arriving at the Centro Cultural de Villarrica during his visit to the region.
The president arrived visibly upset and late to the cultural center for a ceremony handing over land titles to Mapuche families. Before his arrival, a woman refused to greet him and began shouting against him.
The exchange lasted about two minutes and was recorded by Radio BioBio and Red del Lago Villarrica. The woman called the president a Nazi, prompting him to respond by pointing his finger and stating she was interrupting an event where people were happy.
A young man present said that talking democratically is not interrupting. Kast left shouting “Viva la libertad”.
The activity was part of his tour of La Araucanía, where he also led the title handover alongside CONADI.
