Rene Belmonte, screenwriter of films such as 'Se Eu Fosse Você', died at the age of 55. The information was released by the Brazilian Association of Screenwriters.
The cause of death was not disclosed. Belmonte also worked on productions such as 'Assalto ao Banco Central', 'Sexo, Amor e Traição' and 'Detetives do Prédio Azul 3 - Uma Aventura no Fim do Mundo'.
Abra's note highlighted that he was a screenwriter, director, playwright, father and motorcyclist. "Rene was one of those people who carry many lives within one", the text says.
Actress Drica Moraes mourned the loss. "What enormous sadness. All my love to family and friends", she wrote. Belmonte had been dedicating himself to theater and short films such as 'Originários'.
