Sega is inviting selected players to a closed network test of Crazy Taxi: World Tour. The test focuses on online multiplayer and runs across multiple platforms in September.
Sega announced a closed network test for Crazy Taxi: World Tour. The test is scheduled from 11th September to 13th September on PC via Steam and the Xbox app, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Sign-ups opened recently and remain open until 31st August at 11:59pm PT. Players must be at least 13 years old and hold a Sega account. Only participants in specific countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Australia will be eligible.
The test aims to evaluate the stability of online multiplayer. Available modes include Pickup Race for six players and the team-based Cops ‘N’ Cabbies. Both support ranked play and custom lobbies. No single-player content will be included.
The game was previously announced with a 2027 release window. Series creator Kenji Kanno addressed earlier controversy by stating that generative AI was used only as reference material.
