Entrepreneurs from Paderborn founded the airline Skyhub PAD after Lufthansa discontinued its Munich route. Operations began on 1 September 2025 and ended on 10 June.
Lufthansa had discontinued the flight connection between Paderborn and Munich more than a year earlier. This came as a shock to entrepreneurs in the region who relied on the route.
The founders responded by launching the airline Skyhub PAD. The aircraft and crew were provided by the Danish airline DAT.
Flight operations were discontinued on 10 June. Founder Christoph Plass explained the background in an interview.
