William Shatner, best known as Captain Kirk on Star Trek, voiced the character Keldor in the Netflix animated series Masters of the Universe: Revolution.
The series continues the story years after the 1983 He-Man original and focuses on the history of Skeletor, played by Mark Hamill. Shatner portrays Keldor as Skeletor's former identity and half-brother to King Randor, voiced by Diedrich Bader.
Flashbacks show Keldor's face being burnt off by Hordak, voiced by Keith David, after receiving the Havoc staff. The plot draws from hints in earlier He-Man comics and the 2002 animated series but explores the events in greater detail.
Kevin Smith selected Shatner for the role to pair him with Hamill, creating an unofficial link between Star Trek and Star Wars. Shatner said he approached the part intuitively after initial uncertainty about voicing an animated character from the past.
