Xbox Game Pass is expanding its library this December with several new titles, including the fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 and the narrative adventure Firewatch. Most additions arrive on December 16, while the cloud version of Among Us joins a day earlier. However, subscribers will lose access to select Yakuza titles and other games by month's end.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a robust lineup to look forward to in December 2021, as announced on December 16. The service is incorporating a variety of games across console, PC, and cloud platforms, catering to different gaming preferences from action-packed fighters to story-driven explorations.
The new arrivals include:

- Ben 10: Power Trip (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
- Broken Age (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
- Firewatch (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
- The Gunk (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
- Lake (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
- Mortal Kombat 11 (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
- Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
- Race with Ryan (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
- Record of Lodoss: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
- Transformers: Battlegrounds (Cloud, Console, PC) on December 16
Earlier in the month, Game Pass had already welcomed Halo Infinite, Stardew Valley, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and Final Fantasy XIII-2, enhancing the subscription's appeal during the holiday season.
On the downside, several titles are departing on December 31, including Pro Evolution Soccer 21 (Cloud and Console), The Little Acre (Cloud and Console), Yakuza 0 (Cloud, Console, and PC), Yakuza Kiwami 1 (Cloud, Console, and PC), and Yakuza Kiwami 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC). This rotation keeps the library fresh but requires subscribers to act if they wish to continue playing outgoing games.
Highlights among the newcomers are Mortal Kombat 11, known for its intense combat, and Firewatch, praised for its atmospheric storytelling—ideal choices for holiday gaming sessions.
