Adhesive gel packet found in food tray on Vande Bharat train

Passengers traveling on Vande Bharat Express train number 20608 from Mysuru discovered an adhesive gel packet in their food tray on Sunday. The incident prompted immediate complaints to railway staff over potential health risks.

D. Sekhar, a resident of Kathirvedu, was among those who found the packet served by the IRCTC canteen. He and fellow passengers reported the matter to the ticket checker and submitted a written complaint.

A senior Southern Railway official confirmed that the incident has been communicated to the IRCTC team and South Western Railway for further investigation.

The passengers described the occurrence as a serious lapse by the food contractor that could have led to health hazards.
