Gidi Littwin, co-inventor of Apple’s Face ID and Vision Pro, has founded an AI startup called Hemispheric. The company develops diagnostic brain scans aimed at conditions including depression, PTSD, and Parkinson’s.
Littwin spent the past six years developing a frontier artificial intelligence model. The technology seeks to decode electrical activity in the brain for cognitive disorder diagnosis.
Hemispheric aims to make these scans as affordable and accessible as a standard blood test. The startup focuses on practical applications in neuroscience and mental health screening.
The project builds on Littwin’s prior work in computer vision at Apple. No specific launch date or funding details were disclosed in available reports.
