Greek filmmaker Christos Nikou served as mentor to ten young European directors in the Future Frames program at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival this week. He shared insights on finding an authentic voice and creating tender cinema during a discussion attended by Variety.

He further shared that awards hold little meaning and urged the young filmmakers to enjoy the creative journey regardless of recognition.
