The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officially launched the new Transjabodetabek SH2 route from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport on March 12, 2026. The route operates with a fixed fare of Rp3,500 for the first three months. The service is expected to reduce congestion and provide an affordable transport alternative to the airport.
On Thursday, March 12, 2026, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo inaugurated the new Transjabodetabek SH2 route at Blok M Bus Stop in South Jakarta. The route connects Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) over 65.1 kilometers, with a travel duration of about 121 minutes. Buses will stop at 23 points, including Bus stop Blok M Jalur 6, Bus stop Bundaran Senayan 2, up to Bs Bundaran Senayan 1. A total of 14 buses are provided, with waiting times of 10 to 20 minutes.
"Today we are starting something new that the public has been waiting for, namely to officially launch the Transjabodetabek SH2 Blok M - Soekarno-Hatta Airport service," said Pramono Anung.
The current fare is the same as other routes: Rp2,000 from 05:00 to 07:00 WIB and Rp3,500 thereafter. However, for the next three months, especially ahead of Idul Fitri, the fare is set at a fixed Rp3,500. "The DKI Jakarta Government has decided for three months... we will set the fare at Rp3,500 for these 3 months. After that, we will conduct an evaluation," stated Pramono. This evaluation is needed due to the heavy subsidy burden, with future fare plans of Rp10,000 or Rp15,000, considering the long route, new buses, and parking fees at airport terminals.
Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin appreciated the launch, as many Tangerang residents commute to Jakarta for work, and the route could minimize congestion on transit routes like Jalan Daan Mogot and Gatot Subroto. Pramono is confident the route will be popular compared to Damri at Rp80,000, taxis over Rp200,000, or GoCar at Rp125,000.
