Military operations seize 70 kg of drugs in Huila

Troops from the Ninth Brigade of the Army captured nine people and seized over 70 kg of drugs on Huila roadways, hitting drug trafficking finances by more than 100 million pesos. The operations took place in the municipalities of Isnos and Pital.

In an offensive against drug trafficking, soldiers from the Magdalena Light Infantry Battalion captured a man and a woman in flagrante delicto in the El Mármol vereda of Isnos, as they traveled in a private vehicle. The search uncovered 42.5 kg of marijuana hidden under the rear seat, in the fuel tank access compartment, valued at about 63 million pesos.

In the same location, a second checkpoint led to the arrest of two men and two women on motorcycles, carrying an additional 25 kg of marijuana in bags, causing a 37.5 million peso hit. "More than 100 million pesos in damage to drug trafficking finances from recent operations," stated a spokesperson for the Ninth Brigade based in Neiva.

Meanwhile, in Pital, the No. 12 Special Energy and Road Battalion, alongside the National Police, arrested three individuals in anti-microtrafficking actions. They seized nearly 10 kg of marijuana in ziploc bags, 36 packets of cocaine hydrochloride, and 70 grams more of marijuana, weakening local distribution networks.

Military spokespeople emphasized that these ongoing controls on Huila's roadways prevent gangs from using them to ship drugs to the country's center, progressively dismantling their structures.
