Amhara Region chief Ato Arega Kebede said the militia force is at the forefront of maintaining local peace in coordination with the community.
The Amhara Region Militia Commission held its founding anniversary and recognition program in Bahir Dar City under the theme of 30 years of heroism history for lasting peace and country pride. Ato Arega Kebede stated that the militia has fulfilled the trust of the people and government over the past 30 years by creating a proud history. He added that it continues to play its part alongside federal and regional security forces to thwart enemies' plots.
