صرح أريغا كيبيدي، رئيس إقليم أمهرة، بأن قوات الميليشيا تقف في طليعة الجهود الرامية للحفاظ على السلام المحلي بالتنسيق مع المجتمع.

أقامت مفوضية ميليشيا إقليم أمهرة حفلاً بمناسبة ذكرى تأسيسها وتكريم منتسبيها في مدينة بحر دار تحت شعار "30 عاماً من تاريخ البطولة من أجل سلام دائم وفخر الوطن". وذكر أريغا كيبيدي أن الميليشيا قد أوفت بثقة الشعب والحكومة على مدار الثلاثين عاماً الماضية من خلال صنع تاريخ مشرف. وأضاف أن الميليشيا تواصل القيام بدورها إلى جانب قوات الأمن الفيدرالية والإقليمية لإحباط مؤامرات الأعداء.
