قال رئيس إدارة إقليم عفار، أتو أويل أربا، إن الحكومة تعمل بتركيز خاص والتزام لتحسين وضع المستفيدين ونمط حياة المجتمع بشكل عام.

أدلى أتو أويل أربا بهذه التصريحات أثناء تدشين مشاريع مياه الشرب النظيفة في مقاطعتي دولشا وأميبارا بمنطقة جابي راسو، إلى جانب وزير الري والأراضي المنخفضة الدكتور أبراهام بلاي. تخفف هذه المشاريع العبء عن النساء والأطفال الذين كانوا يسافرون سابقاً لمسافات طويلة لجلب المياه. كما أنها تساعد في الوقاية من الأمراض المنقولة بالمياه وتتيح للأطفال استغلال وقتهم في التعليم. تهدف مشاريع الري المصاحبة إلى دعم التحول من الرعي إلى أنماط الحياة شبه الزراعية من خلال تقليل التنقل بين المواقع وتوفير أساس لمعيشة مستقرة.
