Government working committedly to improve community benefits and lifestyle

Afar Regional State Chief Administrator Ato Awel Arba said the government is working with special focus and commitment to improve the community's overall beneficiary status and lifestyle.

Ato Awel Arba made the remarks while inaugurating clean drinking water projects in Gabi Rasu Zone's Dulcha and Amibara woredas alongside Minister of Irrigation and Lowland Areas Dr. Abraham Belay.

The projects reduce the burden on women and children who previously traveled long distances for water. They also help prevent waterborne diseases and allow children to use their time for education.

The accompanying irrigation projects aim to support a shift from pastoralism to semi-agricultural lifestyles by reducing movement between locations and providing a foundation for stable living.
