Ammar Alhogbani battled illness to secure victory for Saudi Arabia in a Davis Cup qualifier against Hong Kong's Bill Chan in Singapore.
The incident occurred on July 18 at the National Tennis Center during the third set with Alhogbani leading 5-3 and serving at 15-40. He suddenly vomited on court and collapsed, prompting a teammate to check on him.
Heavy rain then halted play for seven hours. Upon resumption, the 27-year-old Saudi player recovered to win the match on his serve.
The result gave Saudi Arabia a 2-0 series win. Similar health issues have affected other players this season, including Jannik Sinner at the Italian Open and Coco Gauff at the Madrid Open.
