Neymar posted a video on the official Santos profile thanking Santos fans for the call-up. He asked for support ahead of the club's next match against San Lorenzo in the Copa Sudamericana.
Goalkeeper Weverton of Grêmio fainted upon hearing the news of his first call-up by Ancelotti. He had previously been selected by Tite in 2022.
Ancelotti included seven players from Brazilian clubs on the list, the highest number since the 2002 World Cup triumph. Flamengo contributed four names: Alex Sandro, Danilo, Leo Pereira and Lucas Paquetá.
