Arjun Erigaisi wins Bullet Brawl on July 4

GM Arjun Erigaisi claimed victory in the July 4 Bullet Brawl on Chess.com after overtaking GM Jose Martinez in the closing minutes.

Erigaisi finished with 164 points to Martinez's 161 after a seven-game winning streak in the final 10 minutes of the two-hour 1+0 arena.

Martinez had led for much of the event following an early streak that included wins over IM Renato Terry and IM Licael Ticona. GMs Volodar Murzin and Parham Maghsoodloo placed third and fourth.

Prize money totaled $1,000, with Erigaisi receiving $400, Martinez $250, Murzin $150, and Maghsoodloo $100. WIM Melika Mohammadi took the $100 top women's prize after finishing 19th with 89 points.

The result ties Erigaisi with Martinez for sixth on the all-time Bullet Brawl leaderboard, with all of Erigaisi's titles coming in 2026.
