Boliden modtager tilladelse til fortsat drift i Aitik-minen

Land- og miljødomstolen gav mandag Boliden tilladelse til fortsat og udvidet drift i Aitik-minen uden for Gällivare.

Tilladelsen omfatter minedrift og forarbejdning af op til 45 millioner tons malm om året. Den inkluderer tiltag såsom forhøjede dæmninger og et udvidet anlæg til opbevaring af restprodukter.

Domstolen stillede en lang række betingelser vedrørende udledninger til vand og luft, støj, støvkontrol og hensyn til rensdyrdrift. Boliden har drevet minen siden 1968.

Sagen er ikke endeligt afsluttet. Boliden skal foretage yderligere undersøgelser af visse spørgsmål. Den økonomiske sikkerhedsstillelse til efterbehandling blev fastsat til cirka 6 milliarder svenske kroner.
