CDU-parlamentariker Gebhard presser på for at suspendere lønstigning til folkevalgte

Det hessiske CDU-medlem af Forbundsdagen, Wilhelm Gebhard, har med succes presset på for at suspendere den automatiske stigning i diæter til parlamentsmedlemmer i år. Justeringen i forhold til det nominelle lønindeks ville have betydet en bruttostigning på omkring 500 euro.

Allerede i marts skrev Gebhard til gruppeformændene for Unionen og SPD. Han opfordrede til en lov, der suspenderer den årlige justering af diæterne. SPD og hans partifælle Carsten Linnemann bakkede hurtigt op om forslaget. Siden weekenden har gruppeformand Jens Spahn også støttet initiativet. Koalitionen skal nu hurtigt vedtage en tilsvarende lov, så stigningen ikke træder automatisk i kraft den 1. juli. Gebhard udtrykte tilfredshed med sin månedlige kompensation på 11.833,47 euro brutto. Han understregede, at han ikke gør arbejdet for pengenes skyld, men som idealist, der ønsker at gøre en forskel.
