Winkel opfordrer til mindre pensionsstigning for at finansiere BAföG

Formanden for Junge Union, Johannes Winkel, foreslår at reducere pensionsstigningen den 1. juli til 3 procent for at finansiere den planlagte forhøjelse af BAföG.

Johannes Winkel, leder af Junge Union, har opfordret til at reducere pensionsstigningen pr. 1. juli fra 4,2 til 3 procent. De frigjorte midler skal finansiere den planlagte stigning i BAföG og forhindre besparelser på Elterngeld. Winkel udtalte til avisen Bild, at alle tre ydelser var aftalt i koalitionsaftalen, men at besparelser må fordeles retfærdigt i lyset af budgetsituationen. Han opfordrede den sort-røde koalition under kansler Friedrich Merz til at kæmpe for den yngre generation. Pensionsreguleringen hviler på lønvækstdata fra det føderale statistiske kontor og ligger på 4,25 procent for 2026. Regeringstalsmand Stefan Kornelius og andre politikere fra Unionen havde allerede givet udtryk for finansieringsmæssige forbehold over for sociale ydelser.
