A 12-year-old boy in Ningbo, China, started a fire that destroyed his parent's office after being left alone during work on April 30.
The parent took the boy to an office in Ningbo, in eastern China's Zhejiang province, on April 30 to strengthen their emotional bond.
While the parent worked, the boy grew bored and lit paper tissues with a lighter. Sparks ignited nearby clutter and quickly spread into a large blaze that engulfed the office.
The boy called his parent, who summoned firefighters. The parent and other employees used a dry-powder extinguisher to put out much of the fire, but the premises were gutted. No one was injured, though losses reached tens of thousands of yuan.
