Nearly 40 teachers in Kenya's Pwani Region have received training from the Ministry of Education and NCTC to counter radical ideologies.
The training aimed to equip teachers with skills to identify behavioral changes among students early.
Head of Communications at NCTC, Mr Charles Opiyo, said teachers have a direct relationship with students and can help prevent signs of spreading radical ideologies in schools.
He added that young people are targeted more by terrorist groups and that the training could save lives.
