Dansk politi bistår ved NATO-møde i Helsingborg

Politiet i det sydlige Sverige forstærkes med betjente fra hele landet samt Danmark forud for NATO-udenrigsministermødet den 21. og 22. maj.

Mødet finder sted i Helsingborg. En større tilladt demonstration mod NATO er allerede planlagt til lørdag. Politidirektør Mattias Sigfridsson oplyser, at flere mindre demonstrationer forventes i løbet af ugen. Han nævner også støttedemonstrationer for Gaza og Ukraine. – Samlet set er vi trygge ved, at vi kan sikre, at NATO-mødet forløber sikkert og trygt, siger Sigfridsson. Politiet mobiliserer for at håndtere demonstrationer og tilstedeværelsen af den internationale presse.
