Dinosaur Jr. have revealed plans for their first album in five years along with the second half of their 2026 tour.
The band will release There Near on August 28 through Jagjaguwar. The album follows 2021's Sweep Into Space and features lead single Several Got Away.
J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph will begin the next leg of touring on July 10 in Kingston, New York. Several July dates are co-headlined with Band of Horses.
October and November shows will feature special guest Stef Chura. The full list includes stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Seattle and Austin.
Mascis commented on his songwriting approach in a statement. He noted that meanings often emerge later and expressed reluctance toward platforms displaying full lyrics.
