Former federal legal counsel Esthela Damián Peralta stressed her ground-based work approach during meetings with teachers in Coyuca de Benítez. She noted that she walks to listen and solve problems alongside community and education leaders.
Local teachers voiced support for defending the homeland and the humanist education model promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum. They stated that public education helps steer youth away from antisocial behaviors.
Damián Peralta described launching promises without holding office as irresponsible. She declared herself ready to win Morena’s internal poll and quoted Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Claudia Sheinbaum: “the people put in and the people remove.”
