Ethiopian athletes win Cape Town marathon titles

Ethiopian runners claimed victory in both the men's and women's races at the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon.

In the men's race, Mohammed Isa finished first with a time of 2 hours 4 minutes 55 seconds. Fellow Ethiopian Yihunlis Adane placed second in 2 hours 4 minutes 59 seconds.

Dera Dida won the women's event in 2 hours 23 minutes 18 seconds. Mestawet Fikre and Wagayenesh Amare took second and third place.

The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon took place in South Africa, with results reported from Addis Ababa.
