Sabastian Sawe skal forsvare sin titel ved Berlin Marathon

Den kenyanske maratonverdensrekordholder Sabastian Sawe stiller igen op i Berlin den 27. september. Han har bekræftet sin deltagelse og udtaler, at han sigter efter at forsvare sin titel fra sidste år.

Sawe vandt Berlin Marathon sidste år i tiden 2:02:16 på trods af varme og fugtige forhold. I slutningen af april blev han den første person til at løbe et maraton på under to timer i et løb, da han satte tiden 1:59:30 i London.

Løbsdirektøren for Berlin Marathon, Mark Milde, kalder Sawes tilbagekomst for en stor ære for løbet. Byens flade rute anses for at være en af de hurtigste i verden.
