Äthiopische Athleten gewinnen Marathon-Titel in Kapstadt

Äthiopische Läufer sicherten sich beim Sanlam Cape Town Marathon sowohl bei den Männern als auch bei den Frauen den Sieg.

Im Rennen der Männer belegte Mohammed Isa mit einer Zeit von 2 Stunden 4 Minuten und 55 Sekunden den ersten Platz. Sein äthiopischer Landsmann Yihunlis Adane kam nach 2 Stunden 4 Minuten und 59 Sekunden als Zweiter ins Ziel.

Dera Dida gewann den Wettbewerb der Frauen in 2 Stunden 23 Minuten und 18 Sekunden. Mestawet Fikre und Wagayenesh Amare belegten die Plätze zwei und drei.

Der Sanlam Cape Town Marathon fand in Südafrika statt; die Ergebnisse wurden aus Addis Abeba gemeldet.
