Die 24. afrikanischen Leichtathletikmeisterschaften in Addis Abeba enden heute mit den abendlichen Finalwettkämpfen. Äthiopische Athleten treten am letzten Tag in acht Disziplinen an.

Die Meisterschaften finden heute ihren Abschluss, nachdem äthiopische Athleten an acht für den Abend angesetzten Finals teilgenommen haben. Gemeda Abate tritt um 12:30 Uhr im Hochsprung an, während Otage Obang um 12:40 Uhr beim Speerwurf antritt. Weitere Wettbewerbe umfassen den 3000-Meter-Hindernislauf der Frauen um 13:00 Uhr mit Wesene Asefa und Almaz Yohannes. Zusätzliche Finals umfassen die 400-Meter-Hürden, 1500 Meter, 5000 Meter sowie den 400-Meter-Lauf der Frauen um 15:00 Uhr. Äthiopien hat bisher 11 Medaillen im Wettbewerb erzielt.
