The latest FIFA rankings, unveiled in November, reflect performances from recent international matches, including World Cup qualifiers. Spain remains first globally, followed by Argentina in second and France in third. England holds fourth, while Brazil climbed two spots to fifth, overtaking Portugal and the Netherlands, who now sit sixth and seventh respectively. The top 10 is completed by Belgium in eighth, Germany in ninth, and Croatia in tenth. Italy has dropped out of the top 10.
In Africa, Morocco tops the continental list at 11th worldwide, maintaining its position without expanding the gap. Senegal follows at 19th globally but dropped after a mixed break. Egypt, at 34th, continues a downward trend. Algeria improved notably to 35th, Nigeria rose three places to 38th, and Tunisia matched that climb to 40th on a promising streak. Ivory Coast stays at 42nd despite uneven results, Mali slipped to 54th, DR Congo leaped to 56th with the month's biggest gain, and Cameroon fell three spots to 57th.
Asia sees Japan hold as the region's leader at 18th after two victories. Iran climbed one spot to 20th, with Korea Republic steady at 22nd. Australia dropped to 26th, while Uzbekistan surged five places to 50th after qualifying for the World Cup for the first time. Qatar also advanced to 51st, marking its first merit-based World Cup qualification.
Greece's national team rose two places to 46th with 1,480 points, boosted by a win over Scotland and a draw against Belarus in qualifiers.
