Den tyske regerings sikkerhedsråd har besluttet at oprette et sikkerhedsinstitut for kunstig intelligens. Instituttet skal samle ressourcer til at analysere moderne AI-modeller og deres risici. Det skal udveksle viden med udenlandske institutter og arbejde for ensartede standarder med internationale partnere. Hidtil har det føderale kontor for informationssikkerhed (BSI) varetaget disse opgaver. Derudover vil sikkerhedsrådet gennemgå de tyske sikrings- og beredskabslove (Sicherstellungs- und Vorsorgegesetze) for at tilpasse forsyningen i krisesituationer. Rådet, der ledes af kansler Friedrich Merz (CDU), mødtes første gang i begyndelsen af november.
