Egypt’s Ministry of Industry held talks with a delegation from Turkish industrial developer Polaris Parks to review ongoing projects and discuss expansion plans aimed at attracting investments and creating sustainable jobs. The meeting was chaired by Industry Minister Khaled Hashem and attended by Polaris Parks Chairperson Tunç Özkan. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships to support Egypt’s sustainable economic growth.
On March 7, 2026, Egypt’s Ministry of Industry focused on enhancing the investment environment through infrastructure upgrades, provision of fully serviced industrial land, and simplification of administrative procedures to boost competitiveness, production, and exports. Minister Khaled Hashem emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with industrial developers and international investors, describing such cooperation as essential for expanding industrial zones and supporting Egypt’s strategy for sustainable economic growth. He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting developers and addressing their challenges to build integrated industrial communities that increase local value-added and strengthen the sector’s contribution to the national economy.
The delegation reviewed Polaris Parks’ portfolio of projects in several Egyptian industrial cities, including Polaris Parks in 6th of October City, spanning nearly two million square metres and hosting around 300 factories. Other projects include Polaris Al Zamil in the same city, covering 1.1 million square metres with about 160 factories, and in Sadat City, extending across 1.4 million square metres with around 100 factories. Additionally, a project is under development in New October City, covering 2.6 million square metres and expected to host nearly 300 factories, alongside an upcoming project in the New Administrative Capital spanning nearly two million square metres. This development is anticipated to attract around $2bn in direct investments, contributing to modern industrial zones meeting international standards and supporting advanced manufacturing clusters.
Hashem highlighted the importance of expanding industrial investment in Upper Egypt, urging developers to leverage additional government incentives in those governorates, including large land tracts, competitive labour costs, and improved connectivity via new transportation corridors. For his part, Tunç Özkan stated that Polaris Parks’ development model focuses on fully integrated industrial complexes equipped with advanced infrastructure, including electricity, water, telecommunications, internal roads, and logistics facilities. He added that the company offers various industrial solutions, such as developed land and ready-to-operate factory units starting from 300 square metres, with flexible designs. Özkan also noted that Polaris Parks is seeking to expand in Egypt by submitting requests for land in Badr City, Obour City, and 10th of Ramadan City, reflecting confidence in Egypt’s economic prospects.
