Deputy President Paul Mashatile has condemned the killing of community activist Thato Molosankwe in Mahikeng. The incident occurred earlier this week at the activist's home in Lomanyaneng village.
Mashatile made the remarks while delivering a eulogy at the funeral of former North West Premier Bushy Maape in Huhudi, Vryburg. He expressed government outrage over the death and urged communities to support police efforts against crime.
The deputy president described the killing as barbaric and an attack on values of humanity, justice and democracy. He noted that such violence continues to affect families and communities across the province.
Mashatile highlighted ongoing concerns about targeted attacks on activists. He called for an end to criminal activities that undermine peace and security.
