Michelle Wie West has signed on to design her first golf course, a flexible par-3 layout called Sweet Tooth at the Candyroot resort in South Carolina. Construction is slated to begin late next year on the roughly 25-acre site.
The course will feature alternate scorecards and lighting for night play, allowing holes to be configured differently for various skill levels. Wie West aims to create a welcoming environment with safer options for beginners and juniors alongside challenges for better players.
