Minister meets Concentrix Egypt to discuss expansion plans

Egypt’s communications minister held talks with the head of Concentrix Egypt on the company’s plans to grow its operations and workforce in the country.

Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Raafat Hindi, met Amr Sobhy, Chairperson of Concentrix Egypt. They discussed the company’s expansion into five additional governorates and the addition of around 11,000 employees over the next two years, which would raise its total workforce to 35,000 by the end of 2028.

Concentrix Egypt currently employs about 24,000 people across 13 centres. Sobhy said the workforce is set to reach 28,000 by the end of 2026, 31,000 in 2027 and 35,000 by 2028, supported by annual growth of around 20 per cent. The company began operations in Egypt in 2009 with 150 staff.

The firm had earlier signed a memorandum of understanding with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency in January 2025. That agreement outlined investments of about $1bn to create 16,000 new jobs by the end of 2028. The sides also reviewed plans to integrate artificial intelligence and expand training programmes with universities.
