Netflix casts Fred, Velma and Shaggy for live-action Scooby-Doo

Netflix has revealed the actors for Fred Jones, Velma Dinkley and Shaggy Rogers in its upcoming live-action Scooby-Doo series. Maxwell Jenkins, Abby Ryder Fortson and Tanner Hagen join previously announced Mckenna Grace as Daphne Blake.

According to the official logline, old friends Shaggy and Daphne become involved in a haunting mystery about a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have witnessed a supernatural murder. They team up with pragmatic, scientific townie Velma and the strange but handsome new kid Freddy to solve the case, which pulls them into a creepy nightmare threatening to expose their secrets. Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg serve as showrunners and executive producers.
