Ny analyse skal forbedre adgangen til idræt i landdistrikterne i Uppsala

Uppsala kommune har udarbejdet en landdistriktsanalyse for at fremme adgangen til idrætsfaciliteter i landområder. Analysen vil danne grundlag for fremtidig planlægning og prioriteringer.

Idræts- og fritidsudvalget har udarbejdet analysen, som kortlægger forskelle i udbud, kvalitet og funktion af faciliteter på tværs af forskellige landområder. Grundlæggende strukturer er ofte knyttet til skoler, men standarderne varierer og begrænser til tider anvendelsen.

Skolens rolle i børns og unges aktiviteter fremhæves, mens behovet for flere miljøer til spontan bevægelse uden for skoletiden understreges. Behovene varierer, hvor nogle områder kræver mindre indsatser, mens andre mangler grundlæggende betingelser.

Udvalget har desuden givet administrationen til opgave at forberede en dybere analyse af ligestillet eliteidræt. Formålet er at skabe lige vilkår for kvinder og mænd i eliteaktiviteter.
