A New York man and his wife face multiple charges after allegedly firing at the home of the man's former partner in Florida last December. The incident occurred while the victim's two children were inside the residence.
Angelo Portelli, 41, and his wife Natalie Lopez-Portelli, 54, are accused of attempted second-degree murder and other offenses in connection with the December 6, 2025, attack in Orange County, Florida. Authorities say the couple traveled from New York, used disguises, and exchanged gunfire with the victim's fiancé after ringing the doorbell.
The pair met the victim through TikTok in August 2025. Portelli had claimed he was divorcing his wife, but contact ended in October 2025 after the victim learned otherwise. Surveillance footage captured the couple arriving in a red Kia Sorento and approaching the home.
Portelli, a Customs and Border Protection agent at JFK Airport, confessed to investigators on December 18, 2025. Both suspects are now in custody in Florida. Portelli is scheduled for a hearing on July 9.
