Nikkita Lyons defeated Wendy Choo to capture the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship at Evolve Succession III. The victory marks her first title in WWE. The match took place on the June 25 show.
Lyons secured the win in the opening match with a spinning front kick to Choo’s face. This ended Choo’s reign, which began after she won an eight-woman gauntlet on the April 15 episode of Evolve.
The title lineage now stands as Kali Armstrong, Kendal Grey, Wendy Choo and Nikkita Lyons. Choo had made two successful defenses during her 70-day run.
Lyons, who debuted in NXT in 2021, has worked primarily in Evolve over the past year following injury setbacks. She has recently appeared on NXT aligned with Nattie and Karmen Petrovic.
