Oppositionen kritiserer Kristersson for støtte til Teach for Sweden

Socialdemokraterne og Venstrepartiet retter skarp kritik mod regeringen, efter at statsministerens svigerinde, Marita Bildt, er indtrådt i bestyrelsen for Teach for Sweden. Fonden har modtaget 15 millioner kroner mere i statsstøtte. Kritikere kalder det nepotisme og vennetjenester.

Socialdemokraternes partisekretær Tobias Baudin beskriver situationen som meget alvorlig. Han peger på flere tidligere sager, hvor regeringen er blevet anklaget for problematiske dispositioner og relationer. Baudin advarer om, at det skader Sveriges internationale omdømme.

Venstrepartiets uddannelsesordfører, Isabell Mixter, kalder det åbenlys nepotisme. Hun kræver, at der nedsættes en uafhængig korruptionskommission til at undersøge regeringens ageren, herunder forbindelser til private skolevirksomheder.

Teach for Sweden har også søgt om ekstra midler til et STEM-projekt. Amerikanske forskere advarer samtidig om, at modellen risikerer at øge uligheden i skolerne.
