Pitbull fans set Guinness World Record with bald caps

Fans of Pitbull set a new Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps during his headline show at BST Hyde Park in London on July 10. A total of 22,141 attendees wore the caps to emulate the performer's signature style. Pitbull thanked the crowd onstage and called the achievement a blessing and an honour.

The record attempt took place ahead of the concert at the Great Oak Stage. Concertgoers gathered to be counted before the performance, which featured hits such as Don't Stop the Party, International Love and I Feel Good.

Pitbull, visibly emotional, addressed the audience after the count was confirmed. He spoke about his immigrant family background from Cuba and said representing bald cap wearers from around the world was priceless.

Special guest Kesha joined him in a bald cap to perform their 2013 hit Timber together for the first time in 13 years. Pitbull also delivered a cover of Oasis’s Wonderwall.

The idea for the record attempt originated last year from BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James and TikTok creator Jack Remmington. Similar bald cap displays had previously occurred at Pitbull’s sold-out shows at The O2 in London.
