President Ruto awards Ksh5 million scholarships to 250 Kwale students

President William Ruto has announced Ksh5 million in scholarships for 250 students at a technical college in Kwale County during his coastal tour.

President William Ruto made the announcement on May 23 while speaking in Lunga Lunga, Kwale County. He said he would sponsor students enrolled in six-month courses at the local technical and vocational college.

“I want to sponsor the young people here. Those students of the six-month courses,” President Ruto stated. He added that more than 250 students would study at the facility with him covering the costs.

The president also directed Lunga Lunga Member of Parliament Mangale Chiforomodo Munga to supplement the funds using constituency development resources. On the same day, he inaugurated Matuga Technical and Vocational College and launched a digital hub at Kinango TVC.
