Sjældne tvillingeføl født på hestegård ved Østersøen

To trakehner-føl er kommet til verden på en hestegård i Hirschburg nær Ribnitz-Damgarten. Både føl og hoppen har det godt.

Tino Leipold, ejer af Bernsteinreiter-Hof, har opdrættet trakehner-heste i 20 år. Han havde aldrig tidligere oplevet en tvillingefødsel og udtaler, at han ikke havde forventet det.

Føllene, der har fået navnene Primus Maximus og Primus Minimus, blev født den 10. april. Hoppen Prima Diva klarede fødslen uden kejsersnit, selvom tvillingefødsler hos heste er ekstremt sjældne, og chancen for overlevelse er under én procent.

Gårdens dyrlæge, Hannah Jeibmann, forklarede, at naturen ikke er indrettet til to føl i livmoderen. Leipold blev overrasket over den medieopmærksomhed, som en video af føllene på Facebook har medført, hvilket har ført til et stigende antal følgere.
