Sebi set to introduce bond etfs and derivatives

The Securities and Exchange Board of India plans to launch bond exchange-traded funds and derivatives aimed at strengthening the corporate debt market.

The regulator will also review listing requirements for companies that issue only debt securities. It is exploring a pilot project to tokenize corporate bonds, with the goal of improving liquidity and broadening access for investors.
