Socialdemokraterna planlægger at invitere til tværpolitiske forhandlinger om skattesystemet, hvis partiet vinder valget. Mikael Damberg, partiets økonomiske talsmand, skitserer forslaget i en debatartikel i Dagens Nyheter.

Socialdemokraterna ønsker at tage et helhedsorienteret greb om skattesystemet for at øge effektiviteten, ligheden og sikre finansieringen af velfærden. "Vi gjorde det sammen i 90'erne, vi kan gøre det igen", skriver Mikael Damberg i debatartiklen. Damberg understreger, at en bred aftale ville være en styrke for Sverige. "Vi mener, det er tid til endnu en gang at tage skattesystemet alvorligt", fortsætter han. Partiet ser det som nødvendigt, at politikere tager ansvar for systemets fremtidige funktion. Invitationen til forhandlinger vil blive fremsat i tilfælde af en valgsejr.
