Tesla søger i øjeblikket godkendelser i andre europæiske lande.

Tesla announced that the Dutch regulator RDW has committed to approving its Full Self-Driving software in February 2026, but the agency quickly clarified that only a demonstration is scheduled. This discrepancy highlights ongoing tensions in Europe's strict regulatory environment for autonomous driving features. The development could impact Tesla's plans to expand FSD across the European Union.

The Netherlands has become the first European country to approve Tesla's Full Self-Driving Supervised system, following earlier regulatory discussions and a demonstration in early 2026. RDW, the Dutch vehicle regulatory authority, granted type approval after over 1.5 years of extensive testing. Tesla plans to roll out the driver assistance feature shortly.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised could receive regulatory approval in the Netherlands as early as March 20. He shared this update during an interview at Giga Berlin, citing information from local authorities. The approval would mark the first such greenlight for the software in Europe.

Tesla's latest Full Self-Driving (FSD) software version 14 has shown significant improvements, with miles between critical interventions jumping from 440 to over 9,200, according to Piper Sandler analysts. The firm describes the system as very close to achieving unsupervised autonomy. However, a recent review highlights the need for constant driver vigilance despite its advanced capabilities.

Tesla's Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system has reached a significant milestone, with owners collectively driving over 7 billion miles. This figure includes more than 2.5 billion autonomous miles on city roads, highlighting the vast real-world data accumulated by the company. The milestone underscores Tesla's push for safer autonomous driving through scale and data.

A German television reporter tested Tesla's Full Self-Driving Supervised version 14 in rural areas of Germany and described its performance as perfect and safe, even in bad weather. The test took place in the Eifel region amid limited public transport options. The reporter suggested nationwide rollout could transform mobility.

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system has earned top honors as the best driver-assistance technology in the 2026 MotorTrend Best Tech Awards. The award marks a significant shift for the publication, which previously favored competitors over earlier FSD versions. Judges praised the latest v14 software for its smooth performance in complex real-world scenarios.
