Tesla rolls out FSD Supervised software in Belgium

Tesla has begun rolling out its Full Self-Driving Supervised software in Belgium following regulatory approval. The move makes Belgium the fifth European country to receive the feature.

Tesla confirmed the rollout on June 11, one day after Flemish Mobility Minister Annick De Ridder approved the software. The company completed local public road testing before submitting paperwork to Belgium's homologation department.

Belgium joins the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia and Denmark as approved countries. Approvals build on a framework from the Dutch regulator RDW under UN Regulation 171, allowing faster national reviews.

Belgian law requires the human driver to remain fully responsible at all times. Tesla shared safety data from the Netherlands showing vehicles on FSD Supervised were involved in 3.5 times fewer collisions than manual driving in the first two months.

The over-the-air update is scheduled for eligible owners in the coming weeks, with Hardware 4 vehicles prioritized.
