The Beatles announce expanded Rubber Soul reissue

The Beatles have announced an expanded reissue of their 1965 album Rubber Soul, set to include a previously unreleased John Lennon demo.

The new versions are scheduled to arrive on October 2 via UMG and Apple Corps Ltd. They feature new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell.

The reissue comes in multiple formats, including the Special Edition Super Deluxe with 68 tracks across 5 LPs or 4 CDs. It includes the new stereo mix, sessions and demos, the original mono master, the Capitol US version, and a 7-inch single.

Among the unreleased material is the John Lennon demo 'Little Girl'. The Super Deluxe editions also include an 88-page hardbound book with an introduction by Paul McCartney and a foreword compiled from Lennon's own words.

All formats use new mixes sourced from the original four-track master tapes with de-mixing technology from Peter Jackson's WingNut Films Productions Ltd.
